OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

Island Workforce Housing ("IWH") is a 501(c)3 non-profit housing corporation creating solutions to the lack of housing affordable to members of the Deer Isle-Stonington area workforce. It was started by a group of active volunteers in 2019, and is now completing its second project.

IWH seeks a part-time Office Administrator to work with its very engaged, volunteer "working" board to manage the administrative aspects of the organization's activities. The ideal candidate will be a well-organized, self-starting team player, comfortable with spreadsheets and data management, able to multitask, and willing to take on any task. Clerical/administrative experience is required, while experience with QuickBooks and Little Green Light ("LGL") or other donor management or customer relationship management software is desirable.

Job responsibilities include the following:

• Manage mail (digital and paper) and ensure all income (checks, credit cards, PayPal, securities) is processed accurately

• Deposit tenant rent checks and donor contributions and coordinate regularly with Bookkeeper, Treasurer, and Development Committee Chair

• Enter all donations correctly in LGL and send appropriate acknowledgment letters promptly; prepare regular reports from LGL for Board Committees

• Track rental payments, maintain files for rental operations, and support the Property Manager and leasing activities as needed

• Pay invoices and maintain all files (digital and paper) for real estate development activity, building maintenance, and organizational needs

• Support Board Committees with writing and editing, mailings, and outreach as needed

• Manage office supplies and equipment

This is a half-time/20 hour per week position, with a starting hourly salary of $30-35/hour, commensurate with experience. IWH does not have a permanent office, so much of the work will be accomplished remotely. This position reports to the Board Chair and Treasurer.
